Hi!
My name is Anna Forster and I’m a contemporary abstract artist based in Sweden. For me, artmaking is a journey of self-discovery driven by curiosity, I paint what things feel like rather than what they look like.

Inspired by aerial photograpy, topographic lines and the texture of nature filtered through memory and instinct I build up layers that reveal and conceal, letting earlier marks show through or disappear.

I want my paintings to reward time: to feel different depending on how close you stand, how long you stay, and what you bring with you. Each painting is an invitation, not an explanation.
